All about K-ETA (How to apply for K-ETA)

 

Hello, I would like to introduce K-ETA today for you guys who want to travel Korea.

 

What is K-ETA?

K-ETA : Korea Electronic Travel Authorization

 

So why do you need an authorization to enter Korea?

 

Because it is no longer available to enter Korea without a visa.

 

So far, you don't need to apply for a visa to travel around many countries for less than 90 days.

(Generally, it's for 90 days but it could be less than 90 days depending on the countries.)

 

However, those visa waiver agreements are currently stopped because of the pendemic.

(As of now, Korea is one of the countries that requires a visa.)

 

This is quite sad for the people who love travel like me... :(

 

I have a good news for all of us!!

Visa-free foreign visitors can travel more conveniently by obtaining a K-ETA in advance!

 

Korea started to do a pilot operation period for the K-ETA from May.

From the 1st of Sep, the government updated the final list of the countries and implement the K-ETA.

K-ETA Required Countries (Currently total 49)

Albania, Andorra, Barbados, Dominica, Guam, Guyana, Holy See, Ireland, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, New Caledonia, Nicaragua, Palau, Saint Kitts-Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, San Marino, Slovenia, United Kingdom, United States of America, Venezuela, Greece, Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Latvia, Romania, Luxembourg, Lithuania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Sweden, Spain, Slovakia, Estonia, Austria, Italy, Czech Republic, Croatia, Portugal, Poland, France, Finland, Hungary, Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Iceland

 

How to apply (Duration: 10 mins)

As it's so simple, there's nothing to explain.

You can just go to the website or use app to apply and wait for the result!

You will get the result within 24 hours via your email.

Therefore, please apply for the K-ETA 24 hours before your flight.

Applicatio Fee : 10,000 KRW per person

The fee is just 10,000 KRW.

If the website askes you to pay more than this, please double check whether it's the official website or not.

Once you the the K-ETA, you can use it for 2 years as many times as you want.

I think it is actually sooooo cheap! 10,000 KRW for 2 years unlimited trips!!

 

Validity : 2 years (multiple trips)

*If the passport expires before K-ETA expires, you need to re-apply for it. Whichever comes first, it will be expired.

 

Note: Eventhough you have a K-ETA, you still need to bring PCR test negative result to take the flight.
